NorthState Technology Solutions, a secure cloud, Cybersecurity and IT solutions provider, has named Jim Guido as Chief Operating Officer. Guido formerly served as vice president of business development for NorthState Technology Solutions and will continue to be based out of Charlotte.
“We have an incredible team at NorthState Technology Solutions, and I look forward to working with everyone as we continue to evolve our company onto a national platform,” Guido said. “This company offers an unparalleled combination of IT solutions that businesses need and, at the same time, a high level of customer service that I find particularly refreshing in today’s fast-paced business environment.”
In the newly created position of Chief Operating Officer, Guido will work alongside NorthState Technology Solutions President Joel Lemke and the entire NorthState executive team in Charlotte, the Triad and Triangle to further execute the company’s growth strategy. Guido will report directly to NorthState Technology Solutions President Joel Lemke.
“Jim has a long history of providing leadership that enables businesses to stay ahead of the challenges associated with digital transformation by providing secure IT, managed and professional services,” NorthState President and CEO Royster Tucker III said. “As NorthState Technology Solutions continues to grow in the IT services space, Guido brings exceptional experience in operational leadership along with a deep knowledge of customers’ environments.”
“Our team continues to be incredibly excited about the opportunities that lie ahead to better serve our customers,” NorthState Technology Solutions President Joel Lemke said. “I’m excited to leverage Jim’s leadership to help enable us to continue our laser focus on offering a wide range of leadership technology solutions and providing unmatched customer support for all our customers.”
Guido joined Stalwart Systems in 2002 as a senior engineer and was Chief Technology Officer at the time Stalwart was acquired by NorthState in July 2015 and subsequently integrated into NorthState Technology Solutions in May 2017. Earlier in his career, Guido was a senior engineer at Cisco and a network and security consultant for Piedmont Technology Group. He received a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Bridgeport in 1988.
Since its launch in mid-2017 as a result of the merger of Stalwart Systems and DataChambers companies, NorthState Technology Solutions continues to provide technology assurance—secure, reliable technology that businesses can count on—with client-specific IT and data center solutions. The company continues to focus on growing its traditional offerings and launched several new as-a-service solutions earlier in 2018.
