The board has elected Winston-Salem, NC-based commercial real estate broker and businessman Jesse Jarrell to fill the vacancy created by Mr. Harman’s retirement. Mr. Jarrell has owned and managed several successful businesses including Brown Bear Properties and Cape Fear River Wood, and served as a financial analyst at Hanesbrands Inc. He received a Bachelor of Science in Business from Wake Forest University. Mr. Jarrell is also a great grandson of North State founder Jesse Hayden.
“David has served the shareholders of North State well during his long tenure on our board,” said Pat Harman, Chairman of the Board of Directors “He played a critical part of the transformation of the company from a regional telephone provider to a broad based technology company and he will surely be missed.
