Important updates regarding the FCC’s ACP program
What is happening with the Affordable Connectivity Program?
Due to lack of additional funding, the FCC has announced that the last fully funded month for the ACP benefit will be April 2024. As of February 7, 2024, the program stopped accepting applications. Consumers enrolled in the ACP will continue to receive their benefit until the program ends.
ACP Wind-Down
The ACP enrollment period has ended as of February 7, 2024 and is no longer accepting applications.
Households who applied, were approved, and began receiving the monthly internet discount before February 8, 2024 will continue to receive their ACP benefit until ACP funds run out, as long as the household remains enrolled in the program.
After the ACP funds run out in April 2024, households participating in the ACP will no longer receive the ACP discounts.

ACP Opt-In Form For Continuation of Lumos Service
To continue receiving service after the end of the ACP, we are required to obtain a completed and signed opt-in form that provides consent to charge our standard, non-ACP rate for the service you’re currently receiving. Without this form on file, your service would be disconnected.
Due to a lack of additional funding from Congress, the Affordable Connectivity Program will not be able to accept new applications after February 7, 2024.
If you were receiving the ACP benefit prior to February 7, 2024, you will continue to receive your benefit through the end of the program, if you stay enrolled. The last fully funded month of the program is April 2024. Once the program ends, households will no longer receive the ACP discount on their monthly internet bill and standard plan rates will apply.
When the program ends, you will see the current ACP discount come off of your bill, resulting in an increase of up to $30 per month on your internet service. We understand the significance of this adjustment, and we have a selection of plans to fit your home’s needs and your budget to help keep you connected. There may also be other assistance programs that you may be eligible for, such as Lifeline, which is another FCC program that offers an internet discount. As a reminder, you can change or cancel your Lumos service at any time without penalty.

The rate of $0/mo is based on a credit of $30/mo with ACP and a promotional price of $30/mo on 100 Mbps (upload) x 100 Mbps (download) fiber internet. Must be qualified for and enrolled in the ACP with Lumos to receive this rate. Standard rate for 100 Mbps x 100 Mbps fiber internet is $39.99/mo. Taxes, fees and surcharges are extra and subject to change at any time. Installation, equipment and additional services are extra. The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a federal government benefit program operated by the Federal Communications Commission and, upon its conclusion, or when a household is no longer eligible, customers will be subject to standard rates, terms, and conditions. The ACP is non-transferable and limited to one discount per household. Eligibility requirements apply. A monthly credit of up to $30 will be applied to eligible accounts during the duration of the program; customers will be responsible for any charges over the $30/mo.
